Visualisation of flow past various bluff bodies in a flowing soap film

Students-Undergraduate Research Graduate Excellence (SURGE), IITK

In this research project, the aim was to observe infamous von-Karman vortex street behind the wake of several bluff bodies in a flowing soap film at various flow rates. This research project gave understanding in various aspects of the experiments including the High Frame Rate Video acquisition that shows the flow structure of flow past four flexible filaments that are rigidly mounted at the leading edge in a diamond configuration. This project provided the exposure in Image Processing to plot the contours for vortex detection in flowing soap film.

The CivDevs: Web Development Bootcamp

This project learnt to build client side web applications using basic languages like HTML, CSS & Javascript. It helped in designing frontend UI using frameworks like Reactjs, Bootstrap. It gave the experience of developing web APIs using NodeJS with integration of MongoDB database. This project explained the deployment of a website using Google Firebase.

Machine Learning: Behind the Curtain

The Project involved learning the fundamentals of Python and exploring multiple concepts in ML such as Supervised & Unsupervised learning and implementing Linear, Polynomial Regression and Logistic Regression classification techniques. The Project included implementation of optimisation techniques like Clustering Algorithms, Gradient Descent & Association Rule Learning. This Project gave understanding of Deep Neural Networks, CNNs for images.

This project involved learning of basic opencv techniques such as blurring, rescaling, masking etc. along with image processing techniques such as sampling, quantization & image enhancement. This project helped me in gaining experience in edge detection algos & image segmentation for various types of images. CE332A Course Under-Graduate Project

This Survey Camp included creating a 2-D topographic map depicting relevant features of Aarogyadham(Chitrakoot) with SOI standards, using QGIS. It involved determing the variation of longitudinal and cross-sectional profiles with elevations of a 315m long road using MS-Excel. It also included developing a navigational map of Kamadgiri Hill by collecting geospatial data using the Trimble Juno 3B handheld device.
